ABOUT US

Premium Pellets Spain was created in 2018 in Villamartín de Campos (Palencia), an area irrigated by the Canal de la Nava, famous for its qualities in the production of quality fodder. The countryside and the agricultural sector has been our living and working environment for 40 years.

We know first-hand the needs of our clients: to consume a premium product that allows us to obtain the maximum yield from the farms. We have cutting-edge technology, which produces pellets in the field itself.

We produce alfalfa pellets and hay from our own land, in order to have absolute control of the product. Premium Pellets Spain is a solid project. We provide a different product to the straw and alfalfa pellet sector, manufactured by us in a different way, putting quality before quantity.

OUR FARM

At Premium Pellets Spain we produce fodder from our own farm , so it is very important for us to show you where we grow it. Canal de la Nava is located in the municipality of Villamartín de Campos, although due to its size, it also encompasses other nearby municipalities.

Originally, the entire municipal term was a lagoon, the Laguna de la Nava, or Mar de Campos. The lagoon, located to the southwest of the province of Palencia, was one of the largest wetlands in Spain, with an area of 2,500 ha, which reached 5,000 ha in years with abundant rainfall. After numerous attempts at desiccation to use it for agricultural land, it definitively disappeared as a wetland in 1968.

Due to its origins, the soils are very difficult to work, with very rough terrain that, well worked, is ideal for our crops, which are also subject to rigorous monitoring and control, in order to achieve the best performance and maximum quality of our forages.

The production model of Premium Pellets Spain preserves the general balance of biological systems with the sustainable use of the land of our Farm, planted entirely with alfalfa, fescue and fodder oats.
